Earth Hour Singapore 2009

Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. In 2008, the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square all stood in darkness.

In 2009, Earth Hour is being taken to the next level, with the goal of 1 billion people switching off their lights as part of a global vote. In Singapore, many people, schools and companies have promised to turn off their lights on Saturday, March 28, from 8.30-9.30pm.

Will you support Earth Hour? If so, why? If not, why?

If you are thinking that you are too young to make a difference, take a look at these slides below and be inspired!

We all should vote because in this movie I saw this man said 'If the earth dies we all die, If the earth survives we die'

Earth hour is very important.
If you switched your lights off, it means you are voting for earth
If you did not switch your lights off, it means you are voting for global warming
