Killer waves! By 6 Joy
On March 11, an underwater earthquake measuring 9.0 in magnitude on the richter scale created a 10m-tall tsunami that hit the east coast of Japan. It caused great damage to the environment and a huge loss to the economy for entire towns in the affected area have been destroyed. To date, no one knows as yet how many people have been killed. In the aftermath of the tsunami, the Japanese government has to grapple with the issue of a possible meltdown of nuclear rods due to an explosion at a nuclear plant in Fukushima prefecture which would lead to harmful radiation leaks. This would add on to the catastrophe which the Japanese are reeling from.
What are some of the environmental issues as a result of this earthquake.?

I think that the killer waves in japan was the most terrifying disaster of the year!
Earthquakes have devastating effects, resulting in hundreds to thousands of deaths and injuries, and millions to billions of dollars worth of property damage. The earthquake's location, magnitude of the earthquake, surface geology, and population density are major factors contributing to earthquake damage. Many people lose their loved once.

many people die of the csunami and thy should be alert of the csunami coming.
The tsunami caused many life in Japan to be destroyed where it also had affected some area in Japan because of the nuclear plant in Fukushima prefecture which they should stop the nulcear plant from growing as now they know that this nuclear plant can take away lots of life in areas of
Japan.so i hope that Singapore will never plant that nuclear plant ever!
loss of lives

I am very sad for they had lose their loved ones.
A tsunami is a series of huge waves that sweep in from the sea . They are not created by winds but by earthquakes or volcanic eruptions that disturb the sea floor.
i pray for japan as they are suffering for tsunami and earthquake.
