Our YOG Dolls

St. Kitts and Nevis is our twinning country for the YOG and some teachers as well as pupils in our school made dolls to welcome them.

The dolls, Christopher and Kenisha, will be on display at Compass Point shopping centre this week from 11-15 Aug, along with other dolls.

Here are some pictures of the beautiful dolls. Look at how pretty their costumes are!

A City For You to Play In (4 Joy)

"... there is much the Republic (Singapore) is doing right and much the rest of the world can envy, but the country is falling down in one key area - it is not think small enough... Child-sized, to be precise, because cities must first be livable for children before they can be livable for all, says urban planning consultant Suzanne Crowhurst Lennard, who was here recently for the World Cities Summit." Little Red Dot, The Straits Times, Tuesday, 03/08/10

Should a city be a playground for children? Or is it better to have special areas where children can play? What do you think, and why?

Write about 3 things that make Singapore a better place for children to live in.
