We are so excited to be at the MOE Excel Fest 2012. We will be here from 30 to 31 March at Suntec City Convention Hall 401, Booth B71. We are sharing with visitors how we use newspaper in class to learn more about Singapore and the world. When we discuss the articles in class with our classmates and teachers, we also learn the right values. We also have to share our thoughts on the issues discussed with our teachers through our reflections.

While we may feel tired, we are heartened that many visitors like how we use newspaper in class.

Do you like the way we use newspaper in education? Do you have a suggestion for us? We appreciate your comments and feedback.

I think this blog is a great idea! Glad it's still going strong. 1st heard it presented at the ST trs Forum a few yrs back and I think it was in the papers last year too, plus on Moe schoolbag. V innovative and the girls i spoke to today had a lot to say abt their learning. Maybe you can put d newspaper articles & all the old lesson plans on this blog? Good to read the 'history' since you started so long ago so we know what to look out for when we start to implement this in our sch. Btw is it supposed to be 'newspapers in education'? Thanks!

Lyn did a good job of explaining the newspaper approach and lee also supported it very well. They asked me if I could suggest improvements. I already find it good but they told me that the approach does not cover math and science. Some articles in the newspaper could cover these topics as well. But lyn and lee were superb.

The Programme is very useful in making pupils and students more creative and aware of the world around them. The scrap books are really beautifully made and drawn. But if students have the opportunities to learn to draw, they can do an even better job.
